Seb Viardot was born in Paris where he spent most of his youth.

Everything started for him when he was very young, with an analogue compact camera. He took some shots and began taking his first steps in photography. He also touched on music, drawing, singing and some sports including skiing, snowboarding and skateboarding and also martial arts, tennis and basketball.

In the nineties, during his studies, he continued to develop his artistic side by actively participating in the Hip-Hop movement, especially with graffiti-art. He also began to enrich his musical ear, his visual eye and his talent for observation. He finally had to put aside his passions for a while in order to finish a BTS and begin working in transport logistics. However, his desire to work in the open air and adventurous spirit soon led him to look for another direction in life.

Reflection done, he escaped to the mountains where he started to turn his mind to the world of skiing. He began to retouch photos taken with an old SLR camera, made in the seventies. Photography quickly became a passion for Seb and he reveled himself in the image.

Self-taught, he constructed his photo playground. Initially, he practiced with an analogue camera throughout his travels and in his hometown of Paris. Then, at the beginning of the 2000’s, he was invited to Quebec, Canada for several months by a photographer friend to improve his photographic techniques.

Back in France, he worked as a photographer in craftsmen agencies (weddings, books, seminars, etc …) surfing between cities, mountains and sea. He discovered the world of professional photography, began to earn a living in SLR photography and began to specialize in sports photography, including extreme sports. This subject of photography combines two of his main passions, imagery and adrenalin sports.

Seb landed by chance in the ski resort of La Clusaz and the Aravis Valley, which became his base for a few years. He focused mainly on free skiing and mountain bike photography.

In all these activities, he deepened his studies of light, portraiture, composition and staging. In 2005, enriched by his experiences and encounters; he developed his photographic activity as a successful free-lancer both nationally and internationally. Continuing to teach himself the trade, he successfully made the transition into the digital age we find ourselves in today.

In a personal quest for more and more knowledge, Seb continued to acquire skills. As he expanded his business, he found himself  surrounded by specialist make-up teams, models, stylists, décor and film teams, working with him on photo and video shootings.

Throughout his career, he has covered events such The European Winter Xgames, The Cannes Film Festival, The Candide Invitational, The world of skiing, The Kumi Yama and many more …

Amongst others, he has worked with athletes such as Candide Thovex, JF Houle, Richard Permin, Loic Collomb-Patton, Mirjam Jaeger, and Virginie Faivre … and for brand names such Bollé, Oakley, Quiksilver and O’Neill.

His work was bought and published by the French, Swiss and American press as well as high quality magazines such as “Freeskier”, “Skiing” and “Nivéales”.  Publicity agencies in ski stations such as Avoriaz, La Clusaz, Les Deux Alpes and Montgenèvre also bought his work to advertise their ski stations.

In 2013, the world of sport awarded him an ISPO award for Photo Marketing. ISPO is the largest international trade fair for sports fashion and sports goods which takes place in Munich every year since 1970.

With his experience, Seb is now an active communications and events photographer as well as a sports photographer. He is a fully independent and dynamic professional, endowed with great adaptability and a good sense of relational skills. He is a man of versatile fields, but is also an office man, he creates and organizes different projects from A to Z, puts the actors in connection with the people they may need, on order to optimize their wishes and successfully compete their desired achievement.

Currently, he shares his lifestyle between Annecy, Geneva and Paris. The easy access to internal airports CDG and GVA allows him to be flexible and to freely travel around the world in order to fulfill various missions.

As an experienced photographer, alerted athlete and eclectic music lover, Seb live his passions at 200%. He’s always looking to participate on new projects and new artistic experiences.
